Premier Electrical Corp has been awarded a major switchgear replacement project at Terminal 1 as part of the Metropolitan Airports Commission’s (MAC) approved Capital Improvement Program (CIP).

The MAC’s Board of Commissioners approved the CIP budget at its December 15 meeting, outlining a long-range investment plan extending through 2028. Funding for 2026–2028 alone totals $1.9 billion, supporting a broad range of infrastructure modernization efforts across MSP Airport.

Premier’s winter scope includes critical electrical upgrades within an active airport environment, requiring detailed coordination, phased execution, and precision planning to maintain uninterrupted operations.

Being selected for this work reflects Premier Electrical Corp’s ability to execute complex electrical infrastructure projects in high-demand, high-security environments.
